What is a BSB? and What is GCU's BSB?

Each Australia bank has its own identification number called a Bank State Branch or BSB number. A BSB number contains 6 digits in a sequence of three digits followed by a hyphen and then followed by a further three digits.

How long will it take a cheque to clear?

A Cheque or cheques deposited into a Goldfields Credit Union Account requires the following clearance times:

* Local / Intrastate / Interstate Cheques

4 standard business days if deposited at GCU before 12.00pm 

* Local / Intrastate / Interstate Cheques

5 standard business days if deposited at GCU after 12.00pm or if a public holiday occurs in the state in which the cheque has been drawn. 

* Overseas Cheques

30 days  

                                
GCU will reverse any deposit it has received on behalf of a members account if GCU,

for any reason whatsoever, does not receive value for the deposit.

                            

Where do I report a lost or stolen Redicard?

To report a lost or stolen Redicard either to your nearest Branch during business hours or you may call 1800 224 004 after hours.

           
How do I send money from an Overseas bank to GCU account?

Give the sender the following details:            

Swift Code: CUSCAU2SXXX

BSB: 806 - 043

Account Number: (Your account number)

Bank: Goldfields Credit Union

Beneficiary name: (Your name)

              

How do I make a B Pay payment?

You can make a Bpay payment using either one of GCU’s services: Phonelink Phone Banking or GCU’s Internet Banking service.

 

1) Using Phonelink, Phone Banking

                           

Simply follow the easy steps below

1. Dial 9022 8811

2. Enter your account number

3. Select Option #6 from the main menu

4. Then follow the prompts.

2) Using GCU’s Net Banking 

1. Click onto GCU Net Banking

2. Enter Account details and your password

3. On Toolbar Click onto TRANSFER

4. Scroll down to BPay

5. Then follow the prompts.

A word of caution:

In both instances above, you will require:

(i)              a) a 5 digit Biller Code and 

                 b) the Reference Number which can be up to 20 digits long.

                            

What is the optimal screen resolution for this Website?

The Goldfields Credit Union Web site has been optimised for computer monitors running at a resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or higher.

              

If you have trouble viewing certain parts of this Web site please change your monitor settings.

              

To change PC screen resolutions
1. Right mouse click on your desktop (screen background) and select properties
2. This will open up a box with your screen properties
3. Select the settings tab and choose '800 x 600'
4. After this selection click 'apply'. Your computer may ask you to restart your machine.
    NB: The latest video cards and monitors can make these changes without restarting.

                   

To change Macintosh screen resolutions
1. Click the Apple menu (top left of screen) and select Control Panels
2. Double click the Control Panel 'Monitors & Sound' (If you are using System 7.5 or  

    earlier, you will need to double click the Control Panel 'Screen'
3. Click the 'Monitor' button. Your current resolution will be displayed on the right of the

    Control Panel window
4. Select '800x600'
5. Close the Control Panel 'Monitors & Sound'. Your new settings will automatically be

    updated.
